Pastor's Welcome

We at Grace Memorial Baptist Church recognize that we run against the grain of modern church thought. The current church movements usually center around meeting felt needs rather than true spiritual needs. Entertainment with skits and dramas has replaced the preaching of the Word of God. We believe that the Sunday morning service should be devoted to true worship where the preaching of Holy Scripture takes center stage.

What do we have to offer, you ask. I like to put it like this... No Games, no gimmicks simply expositional preaching with a passion for the majestic sovereignty of God. Sound boring? Think again, we have abundant passion in our services. Our goal is much like John the Baptists -

Luke 1:17 And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

John’s job was to make people ready to meet their God and we seek to continue that calling with the same spirit and power. Just read Amos 4 where we are warned, “prepare to meet thy God,” and ask yourself if you are truly ready to stand in the presence of the God and Judge of the universe.
